Hands Across the Water

This event is to reestablish the camaraderie between the US and Canadian yacht clubs on either side of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Participating yachts are invited to overnight on the evening of Friday June 13th at RVYC to enjoy a social evening. On the morning of Saturday June 14th, boats that are racing will have a pursuit format race to Port Angeles arriving in the early afternoon with the intention of staying overnight to enjoy a social evening at the PAYC. Boats returning to their home port will depart on Sunday 15th June.

An addition to the sailing instructions:
-Best playlist for crossing (note using a commercial Yacht Rock Playlist will be considered griunds for cheating and be summarily derided)
-best snacks for the crossing
-best photo of crew and/or other boats
Judgements for cruising awards are purely arbitrary and will depent on the sobriety of the judges when making the ruling
